Results: What mental disorder do you have?

Your results for this quiz have been calculated and are presented below:

What mental disorder do you have?

Your Result: GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder)

You can never seem to calm down and always feel anxious for unknown reasons. You tend to not be able to concentrate and have headaches or other anxiety symptoms.

Manic Depressive
OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
Paranoia
ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)
these are the actual results from a quiz that i found on http://fadingstar86.wordpress.com/2008/03/09/just-so-i-can-whinge/ (hope it’s okay that i put your link here.. heh).  i also commented on her site that i found it pretty accurate.  and you know what? it doesn’t make it any easier to accept these things that i already know about myself.  i think these quizzes merely serve as reinforcement for choices we’ve already made.  so blah to quizzes!!

Ahh, the quizzes are just there for mentally well people to say “oh look at me, I’m so cool, the quiz tells me I have manic depression.” They don’t have to do the actual day-to-day living with it part. It just a joke to them. But you’re right, it doesn’t make it easier for us.

What mental disorder do you have? Your Result: Manic Depressive You have extreme cycles of highs and lows. Sometimes you feel like you don’t know who you are. One week you could be very hyper and happy and the next week you are slow and depressed. ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) Paranoia GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) What mental disorder do you have?

I took the test….and although the manic depression thing is accurate, I’d never even thought about ADD…but then again, I’ve always been a it like that. Manic depression and ADD were a really close…almost a tie. I think I’ll look up ADD and get some real information on it.
Everyone else seems to have found it all really accurate, so I might as well check it out. I never can focus…
Thank you for all your support by the way, you have helped so much, you wouldn’t even believe. Even though I feel so alone sometimes with people in this real world here, when I come on to the blog and see so much support and warmth, it gives me another day in my life.

I came back with Manic Depression – correct. GAD – incorrect, ADD – hmmm only when hyper.

They are flippant distractions and should not be taken seriously.

Though I do think increasingly that maybe I do have some borderline PD traits
